Chart Examples of the Strategies Covered in the Forex Day Trading Course
R, on the charts, is simply a risk unit based on your personal risk tolerance. For example, if risking 1% per trade, then a 7R day means you increased your account by 7%. If you risk 2% per trade, then a 7R day means you increased your account by 14%. If you risk 0.5% per trade, then you make 3.5% on your account on a 7R day. This is all explained in the course. This day had 7.59% potential (risking 1% of the account per trade)
Here’s a +5% couple hours, even when the price didn’t move much.
And then lots of time we will have 1R or 2R days…which add up when there are 20 or so trading days in a month.
Below is a chart utilizing an additional strategy I added to the course and which you will have access to. Provides lots of profit potential in trending markets.
We will also have losing days and flat days. It WILL happen with any method. But, as discussed in the course, our biggest losing days are always kept small because we stop trading if things aren’t going our way. Strategies + Mental Game
Many courses teach strategies, and so does this one. But a strategy alone isn’t enough. You have to be able to implement it. In the course I go through loads of examples, like the ones above, discussing context and mind frame and how to know exactly when to pounce (or hold back) before the trade happens. I discuss ways to get into the proper mind frame, and overcome hesitancy or eagerness…because entering a trade a second too early can mean a quick loss, or a second too late can mean the opportunity is gone. This course is about getting into the right mental headspace to implement these strategies (or ANY strategy), and then keeping that mental state throughout the trading session. We don’t need to be Buhuddas to trade, but we do need to be in complete control of our actions for the hours we’re trading. This course focuses on that AND strategies.

Cory is a Chartered Market Technician and has been making his living off the markets since 2005. In 2005 Cory began his trading journey with a proprietary day trading firm. I have been trading for some years now and been stuck at breakeven for some time lately. This is a great course for anyone, like me, who wants to strictly be a day trader and have a particular set of hours in a day to trade so you can go about doing other activities. There are 3 things I particular value in it amongst others.
Firstly, just a single pair to trade. For a couple of months, I tried trading multiple pairs like 3 or 4 at a time and I always found it hard focusing because I usually forget my analysis for each one after a couple of hours. Trading just the EURUSD has solved it. And EURUSD is the best pair for daytrading/scalping in terms of spread and liquidity.
Secondly, just 3 or 4 patterns to trade based on price action concepts and the good thing is these patterns occur regularly within the 2 hours of trading time. These concepts are well explained with loads of examples (even in PDF version). Cory also made it easier using a checklist i.e criteria for each pattern, to be fufilled before it can be seen as valid.
Lastly, this is not just a course for daytraders but for anyone that wants to be successful in trading. A good amount of time was spent in explaining how one can achieve an optimal trading state, how to create your own trading plan and backtest so you can have your own data to work with. These things are priceless and are what differentiates a pro from a wannabe trader.
Cory also posts daily screenshots of his trades on the Facebook group showing he is actively involved in daytrading even till now which gives me more chances to compare with my own trades for that same day and ask questions in grey areas.
Of course, this review will not be complete without giving both the good and the bad. So, the downside I discovered is for a couple of trades from his daily screenshots and historical data, I saw a few new patterns and trades that did not entirely fit the criteria explained in the course and that gave me the feeling that there are still some concepts to be taught. But I know that what is contained therein is more than enough to make anyone a profitable daytrader if you study it well (paying attention to the little details) and backtest.

I’ve been wanting to learn how to day trade, but I had no clue where to start, or which program to choose. Most are extremely expensive, and day trading is very intimidating to me.

This is a very practical and comprehensive introduction to day trading the EURUSD on the 1 minute chart — in fact more than an introduction, essentially everything you need to get started and succeed The videos are clear and concise with lots of real-world examples and variations on each theme and strategy, and great coverage of all the other important issues you need to master. Stick to the strategies and rules as Cory teaches them and you should be well on the road to becoming an efficient and consistent trader, and hopefully, a profitable one too.
The excellent articles that Cory publishes regularly on his website, and the daily, weekly, and monthly summaries of his own trading results, are a fantastic addition to the course itself. Honestly, one of – if not the best – trading courses I have purchased. This is basically what I have been searching for. A way to learn patterns and entry/exit strategies. Firstly thanks to Cory for producing this course and sharing his trading method and techniques. The course is very much like Cory’s blog posts, in that it is clean, to the point and contains techniques and information that can make you a profitable trader.
The problems i’ve found with books and courses from other people is that they either try to teach all things to all people and then you have to figure out which pieces you actually need to include to build your system, or they provide concepts from a theoretical standpoint and trying to figure out how to apply them leads to many more questions. Information overload and analysis paralysis seem to have been a repeating theme in my education to this point.
This focused course teaches you step-by-step how to day EUR/USD with only the information you’ll need to trade effectively. The techniques are backed up with daily proof in the chart summaries Cory shares after each days trading, together with the weekly and monthly summaries. I found this course provided the final piece I was missing in my trading education by showing how to implement the knowledge being taught to make it effective.
